President's Message | June 2020

After over two months of business closures, isolation, and canceled events, life is beginning to return to some semblance of pre-COVID-19. I am happy to see that more stores are starting to open, and services like hair salons and churches are being allowed to open for business. Sit-down restaurant service will also be available soon.

My husband and I have had long discussions about our predictions post-pandemic. While our opinions differ in some aspects, one thing we agree on is life will probably not return to the pre-pandemic environment. I am excited for the future and the positive changes that will be adopted by businesses, government, communities, and organizations to improve the economy and keep people safe and healthy. Though COVID-19 created much hardship and suffering, it will not defeat our spirit!

It’s easy to fall into a routine as we continue to adhere to the “Safer At Home” principles. So this past Thursday, May 28, my husband and I decided to shake things up and celebrate National Hamburger Day. Using the Cronies on-line order app we chose a couple of delicious burgers and took advantage of their curbside pick-up service for dinner. If you haven’t tried curbside pickup, you should. I am hopeful this service remains in place post-pandemic. Here’s a photo of our burgers.

National Hamburger Day was fun. Now I’m looking at the special June Days to figure out what we’ll celebrate next. In case you need some inspiration, here are a few of my A-list days:

Wishing all of you a safe, healthy, and prosperous June.
Rhea
